Disc trench excavation in asphalt and concrete
We excavate narrow trenches with a disc trencher for projects in Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel. Trench widths are 6 or 10 cm, with depths of up to 60 cm, subject to the pavement, access and working conditions.

Request a disc trenching quoteProjects suited to this service
Trench excavation for fibre optic ducts, cables and pipes where the cross-section, protection and cover meet the project requirements. We also assess routes through paved access areas on farms, agricultural sites and irrigation installations.
The service covers trench excavation; duct supply and additional works are defined separately.
Trenching in asphalt roads
Provide the length, required cross-section and known layer thicknesses. Pavement condition, existing services, access and traffic management requirements affect planning.
Trenching in concrete
Feasibility is reviewed against thickness, possible reinforcement, pavement condition and site requirements. Different concrete structures may require different methods.
Disc trenching in soil and other options
Disc trenching can also be used in soil. For ground conditions and dimensions that favour another method, see our chain trenching service. Production rates depend on the ground, trench dimensions and site conditions.
Information needed for a quotation
Municipality and province; length of each section; width and depth; surface and thickness; pipe diameter and layout; access; known buried services; dates; drawings and photographs.
Responsibility for utility detection, trial holes, spoil removal, permissions and traffic management must be defined in the project scope. These are not automatically included in an excavation request.
What the request covers
The basic request covers trench excavation. Ducts, backfilling, compaction and surface reinstatement are requested and assessed separately. A final quotation requires a review of the project.
The automated estimate sent by email excludes VAT and does not confirm a date for the work.
Equipment transport is included for projects within Zaragoza province. Transport outside the province is assessed separately.
Service in Aragon
We work in Aragon: Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel. For projects in nearby provinces, tell us the municipality, trench length and dates so we can assess travel requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Can the trench be any width between 6 and 10 cm?
The service offers widths of 6 or 10 cm. If you require another width, include it in your enquiry so we can assess feasibility. We will not change the project’s required cross-section to suit the equipment.
Can every trench reach a depth of 60 cm?
This is the maximum trench depth for this service. Each section is assessed against the pavement, existing utilities, access and project requirements.
Does a 60 cm trench provide 60 cm of cover?
No. Trench depth is measured from the finished surface to the bottom of the excavation. Cover is measured from the finished surface to the top of the duct, pipe or protective element specified by the project. The required trench depth also depends on the dimensions of the installation and its bedding.
Is pavement cutting the same as trench excavation?
No. Saw cutting may only cut the surface. This enquiry is for excavation to the specified cross-section; removal, backfilling and reinstatement must be defined in the quotation.
Is it suitable for fibre optic, electrical or irrigation projects?
It can be suitable where the dimensions, number of ducts, protection and required cover are compatible. Equipment capacity does not replace installation requirements.
How is the price per metre calculated?
We review length, cross-section, surface, thickness, access, location and scope. Providing these details helps us assess the work; there is no single rate that applies to every project.
