TRENCH OPENING / 01
Disc trenching
Widths of 6 or 10 cm and depths of up to 60 cm. For asphalt and concrete, subject to the conditions along each section.
Explore the solution: Disc trenchingThe project cross-section, ground conditions and access determine the equipment. Our main service is disc trench excavation in asphalt and concrete.

This service offers trenches 20 cm wide and up to 1 m deep. This is an option for routes in soil, subject to ground conditions.
Explore the solution: Chain trenchingTRENCH OPENING / 03
This service offers trenches up to 3 cm wide and up to 20 cm deep. The trench must accommodate the ducts, their protection and the required cover.
Explore the solution: Microtrenching| Equipment | Width | Maximum depth | Application to assess |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disc | 6 or 10 cm | 60 cm | Asphalt, concrete and, depending on the project, soil |
| Chain | 20 cm | 1 m | Soil |
| Compact | Up to 3 cm | 20 cm | Compatible small duct installation |
Tell us the required dimensions even if they differ from the options above. If they are not yet known, add the drawings or describe the installation. A small trench cross-section is not suitable for every utility project.
Give the clear width at the narrowest point along the access and working route at each site. The operating guideline for assessing disc equipment is a width of 2.00 m or more; manoeuvring space must also be reviewed.
From 1.50 m up to, but not including, 2.00 m, compact chain equipment in compatible soil or a microtrencher may be assessed, provided the project cross-section and surface suit the equipment. Narrower access does not automatically allow a 6 or 10 cm disc trench to be replaced with a 20 or 3 cm trench.
If the width is less than 1.50 m or is unknown, you can still submit an enquiry for assessment and attach access photographs or a drawing. These clearances are indicative; feasibility must be confirmed against site access and manoeuvring requirements.
We work with construction contractors, fibre optic, electrical and irrigation installers, public authorities, farms and farmers. We assess the excavation; additional works are specified separately.

Ducts, backfilling, compaction and reinstatement are requested and assessed separately. They are not included in the automatic excavation estimate.
